The Buffet Silver Star - Pearl River

This is the worst restaurant ever. The food is subpar at best, and the service is even worse. It was my grandmother 's 91st birthday and we wanted her to have a nice dinner. A portion of my family had arrived early and was already seated and eating. When we inquired if we could be seated with them, we were told, No, but you can sit near them. But you will also have to pay an 18% gratuity. We didn 't have 5 people in our party, so we questioned why we had to pay an 18% gratuity. The manager was so rude and told all of us to get out, and he didn 't care whose birthday it was. In order for my grandmother 's birthday dinner not to be ruined, my sister paid for the gratuity and begged the manager to allow our party to stay (even though she paid for her dinner, she didnt stay and eat). The manager 's behavior was unacceptable and soured me on ever returning not only to the restaurant but to the casino as well. My sister flew in from California for this occasion, and this type of treatment is unacceptable. We will definitely be taking our business elsewhere.

8/19/2023 service was the worst service I have ever had in a restaurant. there was 6 adults and two babies two and under they told us we couldn't sit together unless we paid 18 percent gratuity in which it cost 39.99 for each of us to eat . so we ask could we be separated but close like the table over . we were told no and three of my kids where placed at the other side of the building as far as they could get them away from us . then we had to endure the worst food that I have ever eat we paid 40 dollars a person for turnip greens, dressing that looked like dog food with no seasoning , prime rib that blood was coming out of it . every thing on that buffet was stuff that we eat everyday at home . very little seafood. i would not recommend this restaurant to no one . not worth your money .

Closed the entire 3 day visit I was there. Disappointed, the next time I come I'll give you a better review. Open your doors so guest can eat!

The food was good, nothing spectacular for the price. Service was good. It was extra to add crab, but too much IMO. Desserts were really good.

If you like shrimp and steak then it's definitely worth the money you spend on it. If you don't then it's probably not cause the other foods are basic cheap bland foods that I would rather have at a cheap fast food place. The 4 different types of shrimp make this place well worth it for me!
