China Star - Pearland

This was the worst Chinese food I have ever tasted. Even the dorm food in college was better. I felt trapped eating here for lunch, hoping it would be fresh, but it tasted like it had been sitting for weeks. The chicken was tough and the rice was gritty. The only decent part of the meal was the egg roll. At $16 for lunch and a drink, I feel like I was ripped off. I tried to talk to the cashier about the food, but she didn't seem to care.

What I like most about this restaurant is the personal, they are so nice and always keep checking on them when they need something. eating is moderate, as we have not seen so many choices in comparison with other Chinese buffets in other areas and states. the seating area is so comfortable and wide, so that everyone can choose a safe distance from others. the best we have experienced there is her dessert and ice. I'm sure we'll go back after we've been going 2 times a week.

Today is 2/17/2022 around 2:45 PM. I am here for lunch. The food here is usually pretty good and I come here often. However, today the buffet food was cold on this special day. I decided not to eat it, but the restaurant still tried to charge me the full price even though I only took a small portion and realized it was cold. I don't feel comfortable at places that don't value their customers. I will not be recommending this restaurant anymore.

I like this buffet because they have a variety of meats and food. They do not have many desert options. They do have many flavors in ice though.

EXPENSIVE AND TASTELESS It is an overpriced buffet for the quality food that they serve. There is so much food there that is bad (bland, dry, over cooked, or even burnt) and only a handful of entrees that are good and of those entrees you're lucky to get any because the buckets of those are always empty because it's the only tolerable thing to eat there. Won't be back. Suggest you don't waste your money here
