Our party of 12 was looking for a lunch spot at Peggy's Cove, and Bubba Magoo's was an incredible find! The food was hearty and delicious, staff were friendly and attentive, and the newly renovated dining area is lovely! We left with full bellies and warm hearts! Would highly recommend. Our group enjoyed vegan nachos, hodgepodge with cheddar biscuit, chili cornbread, chowder, sandwiches, specialty coffees, and ended with samples of delicious fudge. Everything was fresh and made with care. If you get the chance, go check out Bubba Magoo's! You'll be glad you did!

What an absolute find!! In a tourist heavy spot like Peggy's Cove one expects substandard, overpriced, boring fare. We were (pardon the pun blown away! The space is bright and stylish, obviously newly renovated, up a set of stairs. The server (a very nice young fellow who admitted later he was also the chef that day was doing a super job balancing everything, with a calm attitude. The food was absolutely outstanding. Vegetarian chili with a tiny loaf of perfect corn bread, hodgepodge stew with artisan style spiced tortilla chips, fish and chips, and chowder. For dessert, a brownie/ice cream extravaganza and the biggest, most delicious hot chocolate (with a vegan marshmallow! that I, as a hot chocolate aficionado, have ever enjoyed. It was all scrumptious and beautifully presented. We also thought the prices were reasonable. The only caution is that the day we were there, they were short staffed it was not the place to be if you were in a big rush. But we enjoyed every minute and every bite.
