As always, the service was excellent and Juan R. was fantastic! Despite feeling like we had the place to ourselves, we hope that things return to normal soon so we can enjoy our Wine on Wednesday tradition. The village never fails to impress! A big thank you to Ed for always greeting us warmly and showing his appreciation. Ana and I will definitely be back soon!
Usually this is my place to eat, but they changed the menu, okay, so we tried something new, they burned our first app, which was mushroom, goat cheese and bridal flatcake, which went out forever, the bridal reef was so overwhelming I thought there were anchovies on it. Then my salad brought 3 bites in. I ordered braided meatballs I often enjoyed, except this visit. I got balls of cold cheese, they took it back and didn't bring it right, usually his brown and bubbling, not so much this time. We've eaten here many times and never had problems. Service was ok, took a few minutes to get our servers attention, it was Friday 3/13 after 8 so it was not awful busy, many open tables outside. I don't really know what's changed, new cook maybe, but we're not gonna bother each other anymore. They took the meatballs from the tab. I loved this place, very disappointed that we will not return.
The food was great! Had the crab, the fillet and the crime brûlée, everything was perfect. Our server Jack was incredible! Friendly and very knowledgeable! He made great recommendations.
The entrees were good, service was good. The only disappointment was the side Cesar's salad. It was probably the worst I've had and I'm sorry that I did not send it back at the time. The lettuce was chopped finely like for a taco, there was not even a sprinkle of parmesan on it, and the croutons were stale.
The food is fantastic and the service is flawless. Huge shoutout to Flower who is consistently outstanding!
