Came here for a midweek break of cooking, excellent service staff, who you could see were very bust trying there best to please everyone.. which was working! Dog house burger was delish! Partner loved his dirty fries and kids enjoyed there basket meals, which is very filling for a child. Views are fantastic, very family friendly pub.
We usually go by boat , nice place to moor up and have food and drinks . Food always nice and good service. They do a hog roast some evenings with a live band , would highly recommend going .
We have come here many times and I always enjoy a fabulous full plated prawn salad. This time it comes out as a prawn cocktail starter in a glass, a few leaves, one cherry tomato, prawns, sauce with a few slices of cheap buttered brown bread. This 'light dish ' cost nearly £12, £1 less than my husband 's lasagne and chips. I ordered an extra bowl of chips to stop me going hungry, and they were greasy brown triple cooked and tasteless. We travelled a long way as the setting of this pub is lovely and service usually good. We wondered why this usually popular eatery was so quiet this time. Something s changed here, standard of the food sadly gone downstream.
Dropped by for some lunch. Only three other couples in the restaurant. After a 45 minute wait, we were told they had lost our order for food. No option to leave after only having drinks. Come on nowhere near busy. Very disappointing.
