This small village pub is a gem. The food menu is simple but satisfying. The bar staff are extremely friendly and so are the locals. I had a fantastic time watching sports there. The bartender was a hoot and happy to engage in conversation. Unfortunately, they close early for food on Sundays, so don't go there for dinner. The only downside is the state of the toilets (see picture). Other than that, the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Can't a toilet seat be added?
I recently had Sunday lunch at the Swanlake Inn in Jameston. The meal was great, with well-presented and tasty meats, a variety of delicious vegetables, and lovely gravy. The service was friendly and courteous. It's a down-to-earth, family-friendly restaurant that even welcomes dogs. I would highly recommend it.
Just stopped in the off chance and what a nice surprise it was cracking meal. I had hame egg and chips and the wife had swan stack I recommended this to anyone
An honest, unassuming welcoming pub where all visitors are made to feel like locals what more can you ask? Well it's also very dog friendly, has a beer garden, parking, guest real ales, generous portions of home cooked staples, plenty of history on the walls too.
