Approximately 20 stayed here, whilst others stayed nearby(not enough rooms)! I know I speak on their behalf when I say to anyone, “STAY HERE”, you will not be disappointed, the food is cooked and presented impeccably. It was delicious both at breakfast and at dinner. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. We were joined by Jeremy a local and other local musicians, and spent two great evening’s together. As long as we are playing and singing, we will come back to the Trewern Arms and I would thoroughly recommend it …..Elaine
Chosen for its closeness to the Fishguard ferry, this pub and B&B proved to be far better than expected. Set in a lovely village the Trwern Arms offered really nice accommodation and a good evening menu. The breakfast was good too.
I really don’t like leaving a negative review, and I’m sorry for this, but the young guy behind the bar obviously didn’t want to be there, no smile, acknowledgment , welcome , hello , please ,thank you goodbye! Very rude!! I’m all fairness none of the staff were great, all pretending to look busy rather than serve , apart from the lady with blonde dreadlocks who was lovely. I’m not saying the food was bad , neither was it great, but personal choice,it just wasn’t for me it’s not what I’d call a traditional Sunday lunch the veg were too hard and the beef quite tough. I’d also say the bar/seating area could do with a good deep clean and a fresh lick of paint. So sad it has all that character, just missing the warmth.
Chanced upon Trewern Arms and what a find for Sunday lunch. They were extremely busy but managed to fit us in. We were not rushed From the very start the staff were very kind helpful and courteous nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing cooked to perfection . The waitress even put us in the right direction for exploring the various places of interest often missed a stones throw from the premises.
Fantastic Sunday Lunch of Roast Welsh Beef and well overdue return to the menu, food was 1st class produce and well-cooked and delivered by the very pleasant Bethany! One slice of beef however was very gristly BUT swiftly replaced with a judicious apology (and an extra slice! Impressed by the quality of lunch we decided to try the homemade deserts, Beetroot Brownie and a Sticky Toffee Pudding. Both were EXCELLENT! Another thing to point out is their selection of Real Ales, new ones to try every visit. Overall Excellent value considering the 1st class food and service! Thanks!
