We visited here solely on reviews from Tripadvisor, we could also walk from our hotel. The restaurant is located down a long slope/steps. One side all the elderly locals take in the sun. It is very popular with the locals, which is always a good...sign. We walked down and by chance they had a table free for us. It is cramped, I would liken it to sitting in a railway carriage but don't let that put you off. You gaze straight out at the sea and watch the waves and locals catching fish. Staff were friendly and the food is all freshly cooked and portions were large. We were served quickly, one of us had the swordfish, another fillets of fish and the other pork steaks. The desserts looked amazing and they bring them round on a tray for you to select , unfortunately all of us were too full from the first course. We paid for three people, with pate, bread and soft drinks plus the mains as described above 37€. We felt very good value and all staff thanked us when we left. We will return.
Lovely place to visit when in the neighbourhood. Staff is very friendly and the Dorade was awesome! Rib eye with fries, rice and salad were better than average in Portugal. Very economically priced and beautiful site next to the ocean. Would definitely recommend.
Been to this place today. Our Experience: olives bread ok. Shrimps were dry and tasteless. Clamps were okay, french Fries went back to kitchen because still half frozen, calamar was overroasted and bitter. Potatoes half raw, salad from the glas. Everything was drowned in...oil and garlic. The waiter was quite friendly. We paid EUR 50 including one beer, one water. Wasted money.
This place is perfectly located in the region peniche. highly recommended to sit in the terrace area which is close to the rocks and they are in the location to see the coast of the sea and really enjoy the sunny days. the seafood is fresh, delicious and not overpriced....One should point out that the restaurant is closed in winter due to the sea level.
