La Golosona - Peníscola

One of the worst restaurants we have been to. They got one of our meal orders wrong, lasagne instead of calzone. The calzone they brought out eventually was cold in the middle. Whilst the cheese had melted, the filling right in the middle wasn’t warm it hadn’t been cooked for long enough. When we raised this, the chef came out and was almost shouting at us, along with the waitress, denying that they had actually got the original order wrong, and that it was impossible that the food was cold. I think they thought that they had done us a favour by bringing out the correct meal. Pretty unpleasant all round. The bill came and the cold calzone was on the bill!. I asked for that to be removed and that started another uproar. So in the end we left enough money to cover the bill and left. The fun didn’t end there the waitress started shouting at us, threatening to call the police for not paying! Well at least she stopped that when someone in the restaurant pointed out we had actually paid. All in I think it was the worst experience had in a restaurant that I can remember. Don’t bother, there are plenty of welcoming and good places in Peniscola this isn’t one of them.

Popped in for just a drink and ended up coming back with the whole family. A delightfully welcoming place with friendly staff and delicious food.

Authentic italian pizza. Prices are just okay for a tourist area. Service was good and prompt. People are accomodating and over-all, we enjoyed our meal.

Sólo probamos las pizzas. Honestamente, muy recomendable.

Desde el casco antiguo hasta el tratado hay unos 30 minutos de caminata, pero no importa, vale la pena. Nos trataron con 10 y la comida espectacular. Además, sirven muy rápido. Sin duda, si volvemos a Peñíscola, lo visitaremos de nuevo.
