I should have just bought a glass of wine and bypassed the tasting might have had a better experience. Tiny pours tasting pours are supposed to be small but these were about a quarter the size of a standard tasting pour. No explanations on what he was pouring. He couldnt really answer any questions we had. We were the only ones in there and he kept leaving the tasting area to mess with a delivery that was brought in. Most the time I was there, I was standing there with a empty glass waiting for him to pour the wine. My husband (who got a glass instead of a tasting) says he was proud of me for not completely losing it on him while I was in there cause he would have. I showed some patience today. They need to get someone behind the bar that knows what their doing. If you go there... don't do a tasting!!! Just get a glass of wine. Save yourself aggravation.
Very surprised with the menu, one of the best lunches I had in Australia. The wine was truly great. My wife and I had a great time
The restaurant offers a charming view of the countryside and waterway from its modern, open dining area. Despite being busy during lunchtime, the service was friendly and efficient. We started with the Vineyard platter, which included prosciutto, olives, chicken liver pate, smoked salmon parfait, sourdough, and pickles, all washed down with a couple of glasses of their riesling. For our main course, we enjoyed the Torta Verde, a rustic pie filled with herbs, spinach, and feta, served with a pear, walnut, feta, and green leaf salad. Although we wanted to relax and enjoy more wine, we will definitely return for another visit.
Beautiful view and $5AUD wine tasting which can go towards any purchase. Owners are friendly and well-traveled.
Following a wine tasting, we enjoyed a delicious meal at the restaurant. I opted for the torta verde and was pleased with its tasty and light flavors. The tomato chutney that accompanied it was irresistible. It paired perfectly with a glass of pinot noir. My companion ordered the duck and also thoroughly enjoyed it.
