Penola is a peaceful town with many shopping options, especially for the ladies. A visit to the Mary MacKillop school house is a must for those interested in religious history. Her story is truly inspiring and worth the time spent there. Overall, I highly recommend a visit to Penola and The Prince of Wales Hotel. Happy travels!
I enjoyed a pleasant and affordable lunch at this restaurant. The service was prompt and the staff were extremely friendly and courteous. The specials board offered a nice variety of options to choose from.
This restaurant is currently the only pub in town that is open. They have a decent menu with typical pub dishes. I found the steak to be well-cooked, but a bit too fatty for my liking. They offer a reasonable selection of beers on tap, including Coopers and Furphy.
Gluten free options Was very nice Friendly staff member Schnitzel was good with range of salad Fish was also nice with a range of salad Good value
The chief told me it wasn't burned when I took it back. very reluctantly replaced my meal! very disappointing experience! the first 2 photos are the first snitzel. grateful for the possible replacement according to the argument of the cook and grateful that it as a golden scnitzel. was cooked twice. if only the kitchen staff could take feedback instead of contest with customers!
