Afternoon Tea The Yarrow - Penrith

We had a wonderful dining experience in a lovely atmosphere. We took our 90-year-old grandmother there for an afternoon meal, and it was absolutely perfect.

I was disappointed with our afternoon tea experience. We didn't expect it to cost £20.95 per person. The tea was quite weak, and even though we still had tea in the pots, we were offered more, which we declined. The sandwich fillings were good, but there could have been a few more. The coffee cake was dry. The highlight was definitely the homemade warm scones, which were lovely. However, I don’t think we would return for afternoon tea.

The restaurant's ambiance is lovely, and I appreciated the option to select my sandwich choices in advance. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience with great value for the quality of food.

Lovely restaurant very warm and comfortable, served by a lovely waiter . Afternoon tea looked amazing but wasn’t brilliant, sandwich were a little stale , cakes dry although they looked good . Loved the scones definitely the best part .
