It was a first time for me and probably the only place I will ever visit when I’m craving authentic sushi made by chef Sei or a nice Ginger steak with a nice ice cold Asahi...this restaurant has much more to offer and I am looking forward to the next time. ALOHA NOBUSEI!
My entire family eats here for every occasion, birthdays, new babies, etc. Everything is wonderful. Traditional Japanese and everyone is treated like they belong there.
If I could rate it lower than a 1, I would. My husband and I ordered a simple take-out dinner: teriyaki chicken and tempura vegetables. We lived literally 2 minutes down the road. The place looks like a condemned shack from the outside I 've lived here for 20 years and I don 't think it has ever gotten a fresh coat of paint! After waiting for our order for about 10 minutes, I took it home. The food was not very hot, so I was a little concerned about it being fresh , but it was the winter so I dismissed it as cooling off because of the cold outside. We ate and I didn 't like it. The chicken was fatty, the veggies were soaked in oil, and something just tasted off about it. My husband ate quite a bit more than I did he is not as picky an eater as me. I put the left-overs in the garbage and we went to bed. I woke up about 3 hours later throwing up worse than I have in a very long time. My husband stated that he was glad he wasn 't me. Then he started getting sick around 5 am. I managed to purge the food from my system soon enough that by that time I was tired and queasy, but otherwise ok. My husband threw up so bad, he couldn 't even keep down water. I had to take him to the emergency room!! They hooked him up to an IV because he was so dehydrated his kidneys had started to fail! Unfortunately, because we did not save and refrigerate the food, we had no case against them. If you are looking for TERRIFIC hibachi food, go to Tokyo Steakhouse on 9 mile Rd.
Nobusei is the finest Asian restaurant in Pensacola, hands down. The food is outstanding, the atmosphere subdued and elegant. The service is absolutely first rate. Often they will cook your food right at the table. No pre-prepared food! Absolutely recommend for anyone who likes Japanese food or anyone looking for a memorable dining experience!
My husband and I enjoy Nobusei! If you get hibachi I definitely recommend requesting Nobu, he is fantastic!
