Cambo Beach Restaurant - Penticton

Awesome food! Very delicious, and the place was clean and the patio was nice. But if it's busy,, they will probably forget about you. I'm patient to a point, but 10 minutes for a drink, 10 more to get the bill... 10 more for the machine.. you get it.

Well trying out new places always reveals a diamond in the rough. I have walk2d and driven by Cambo many times, I. Glad we went in. I had a full bowl of wanton soup. It was so good. It had shrimp, chicken, loads of vegetables and delicious wanton. The crab cakes looked good as did the fish and chips. My wife had the salad wrap and she liked it. The staff is nice, the menu is ample. All in all a great place tonnage a very good Asian flare meal.

Just along the shore from the more glitzy and more busy Salty's (which is also well worth a visit but it DOES get pretty packed in high season!), this little fusion restaurant is a real find. Family run and home cooked, drawing on influences from the West and South East Asia, the service is prompt , personal and always with a smile. The menu ranges from burgers and fish and chips, all the way along to Pad Thai, saffron chicken and green curry. Again, the diversity of the owner family's origins shines through. We asked them to just bring us the most authentic, home made items on the menu and it was DELICIOUS. To add to this, the owner sent out a free home made desert for my little girl, so who can complain at such treatment?!Not glitzy, not glam, just friendly home cooked fusion food with a family face. Just perfect for some laid back evenings on the beach.

After walking out of Vallarta Grill a couple blocks away because of lack of service we arrived at Cambo. Greeted and seated promptly. Server arrived fast with a smile cucumber water ( refreshing ) and a menu. What a variety of choices. I selected sesame chicken my wife turmeric chicken. The meals were delicious. Our service with several attendees was exceptional.

We enjoyed our supper at this restaurant. The service was good and the food was pretty good. We had salad rolls to start, no complaints. For my main course I had the chicken club sandwich. This was made with a real chicken breast which I enjoyed. I ordered a caesar salad with it but accidentally got fries however the waitress fixed that up for me. My husband had Thai curry. It was quite spicy but also good. We thought it was a good value and it also had a lovely lakeside view.
