Pizza Works Peoria - Peoria Heights

I haven’t eaten here since I was a kid growing up in Peoria over 50 years ago. We ordered a thin crust deluxe pizza with the pepperoni only on half. We liked the taste of the pizza. The sausage and pepperoni were delicious. I was surprised how thick the thin crust was. The main complaint is that at least half the edges of the crust was black/burned and they left the sausage off of the half that had pepperoni. Plus the wait time was supposed to be 40 minutes till pic up but it was well over an hour. They were very nice and tried to make it up with two baggies of pop corn and a very small free soda. The person who took my order confirmed it correctly so maybe it was the kitchen that messed up the sausage. I would still go back despite the issues. Friday evenings are impossible these days.
