Jim's Steak House - Peoria

Was quite disappointed when visiting Jim's with my Mom a few weeks ago. I ordered the cajun ribeye and literally had to scrape off about 1/8-inch of extremely salty cajun/dry rub. I honestly did not taste the actual steak once while eating. Bummer…bigtime. Mom had the steak medallions and shrimp and it looked decent and Mom didn't complain but, she rarely does when she recommends the spot. lol. Couldn't believe that some of the reviews are negative,,,we had a great meal and the pianist was excellent!

I was staying in Downtown Peoria and looking for a restaurant. The wonderful Four Points Sheraton told me of Jim's. Wonderful, cozy candle lit atmosphere, superb food and service. They handled my food allergies very well. Nick was the Chef and Terra was my server. I will definitely be back. The Iowan recommends this place.

It used to be amazing. Now it is horrible. Not only is the service terrible but the food is trash. You could get better food at Applebees for $40. Do yourself a favor and pick somewhere else. This isn’t the Jim’s Steakhouse you went to 10 years ago.

HORRIBLE!!! For such an upscale restaurant the service is terrible. I went in to place a to go order and the bar was FULL of dirty glasses. It took forever for the bartender to come over and even take my order (mind you I had to ask to see the menu). No one in the restaurant was pleasant or let alone courteous.
