The staff were welcoming and friendly and allowed us to bring our dog into the lower bar. There was a jar full of doggy treats and the young lady behind the bar said I could take one for the dog. So I treated Isla with a very generous Bonio biscuit. There was a good selection of ales and we both had Wye Valley bitter which was a tasty and refreshing pint. We then ordered food which was delivered quickly to our table. The food was delicious and very reasonable in price. There was a good selection of lunch meals on the menu, all reasonably priced. The pub has a separate dining room for more haute cuisine dining. There is also a tea room attached to the pub which is run as a separate business. The inside of the pub was warm and traditional. It would be a great place to spend a few hours with friends supping fine ales and sharing stories. I must return to try a pint of the interestingly named guest beer, 'Shagweaver '.
I stopped by today after a walk on Bredon Hill and was pleased to discover alcohol-free beer on tap, specifically Big Drop IPA! The food was great, and I appreciated the photos on display. The atmosphere was welcoming, and I was happy to see that dogs are allowed as well. I would definitely recommend this place and plan to return!
We had an amazing lunch for Mother's Day. The woman who made our reservation was incredibly accommodating, which left a great impression on us. The staff was very friendly and helpful. One of the servers went above and beyond by allowing my son to choose something from the starter menu as part of his meal, even though it seemed more suited for an adult. The food was reasonably priced and delicious. At the end of the Mother's Day celebration, we received a lovely note along with a hyacinth plant. We all thoroughly enjoyed our time together and will definitely return soon.
We visited for lunch today and had a fantastic experience. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. What a lovely pub! It was our first time in Elmley Castle, and we thought it was a beautiful village.
Super service, nice location and delicious Sunday lunch, only half an hour booked in advance. we were not actually able to get to one of our more regular pubs. but so glad we tried here. it is a Jewel and we will definitely return.
