Amigo's Fried Chicken - Perth Amboy

Came here on a Thursday night and sat at the bar they had ladies night going on where certain drinks was 1/2 price ...the food and drinks was really good and the staff was friendly. I will definitely come here again.

Roos Veija was delicious like mommas cooking. I wish it had some pow like maybe something fresh but overall flavor was good. Rice was good wish it was a bit softer. I was overall satisfied with the food but not blow away. I would definitely return, service was amazing. Water was refilled, asked multiple times if we needed anything.

This rating is based upon ambiance, music and drinks. My friends and I recently came here to have a couple of drinks and dance. It is a full restaurant but towards the back where they play music there is a little space for people who want to dance. They played salsa, bachata, merengue, disco and more. They were super diverse and we had fun dancing to it all. The drinks were pretty good. We had both the red and white sangria. The white was better than the red, but both were enjoyable. I will definitely be back to try the food and update my review.

Came here on a Saturday night around 6 pm for dinner and it was almost empty. This worried me until I tried the food and everything was great! I had the pescado frito (deep-fried whole red snapper, exquisitely cooked though I had to work for it because of the bones) and my significant other had the pernil (a little citrusy for my taste, but still well cooked). We shared very tasty chorizo croquettes pork chicharrón as appetizers and they hit the spot. They have a wide mojito menu and the banana one I got was dynamite. Our waitress was sick we had to repeat a couple of things back to her, but that didn't take away from the experience. We're definitely coming back!

I came here after watching a sailing race at the Yacht Club with a couple of the Sailors. And I certainly did the job ! After hearing that the food has been a hit or miss because of the constant change in management I was a little nervous but still eager to find a nice Latin restaurant. I ordered the empanadas (chicken) and plantains with ground beff on top for the appetizer and it's was good I enjoyed the empanada it was stuffed with ALOT of chicken though ! The Plantain Dish was different but amazing wish it was a little warmer though! For my main course I got the fried red snapper with black beans and rice and it was yummy !!!! The fish was heavenly it was seasoned just right ! In my opinion fish is a very light so I hate when the seasoning is overpowering it needs to compliment the fish and they achieved that! The beans didn't taste all that great but when I went to eat them the next day that tasted amazing ! I give it three because the food was good the dinning room was beautiful! But I wasn't blown away enough to attend frequently . I will return one day if I'm in the area though.
