With several typical dishes of the area, such as the ****-a-leekie (poor soup and potatoes that appears in image) called us and a lot of the attention of the prices, very to the low to be August and we thought it would affect the quality ... ill assumed. Without being a gourmet meal of high flights but if it was homemade, well cooked and with good presentation. There are several options in the menu for the little ones, with slightly smaller rations and that include dessert. Again at a laugh price, as children eat for 1 pound sterling little each adult comensal. I mean, 2 kids eat a full 3-course menu for 2 pounds. The wines are not their strong but at this level of Scotland there is much more beer and whisky that is ultimately the traditional. A fast and very attentive service with more than good cleaning levels that make you recommend this pub that sits in the heart of Aberfeldy, especially for the excellent quality ratio price.
Before heading to the local movie theater, we stopped by this bar/restaurant for a meal. The atmosphere was lively and the place was packed with people. The food was delicious and the service was quick and friendly.
Not the place to go if you're British, we felt very uncomfortable when IRA songs were played through Alexa, with members of staff singing along. This is not acceptable in a supposedly tourist friendly venue imo. It's a shame they're happy enough to offend and lose customers. We found better more comfortable places to eat in Aberfeldy afterwards.
Went here to get some lunch 3rd day of our holiday in the beautiful village of aberfeldy, we were eating our food when the wolftones song came on Chucky Ar La sing up the Ra the staff were singing along like it was a nice wee melody, we couldn 't finish our food or drink so we immediately paid the bill, they were happy to accept the kings great British pound, this bar/restaurant is advertised as a friendly family place but there should be a sign outside stating that British tourist are not welcome, on a more positive note though dogs are welcome maybe because there 's no affiliation, absolutely disgusting.
Honestly, what a great place. Stayed in Aberfeldy over the weekend in a nearby hotel which did not serve food. Not a problem, The Fountain Bar does..and my goodness the food is fab. The atmosphere is so friendly as were the staff, Tommy especially : my dog, Odin the black lab, liked him loads after the treats. Aberfeldy is a lovely small town and is lucky to have The Fountain Bar in the Square
