Feedback gevenAfter spending an afternoon in the Art Gallery my partner and I had an amazing lunch at Arthouse Dine. Excellent food and amazing service :-)
My partner decided to take me to Arthouse for my birthday after stumbling across mouthwatering images on instagram. Neither of us had visited before and we were both so impressed with the food, atmosphere and service. I had the warm broccoli & coconut salad, cucumber, chilli as an entree; pan-roasted cauliflower, cauliflower couscous, cashew paste, mustard seed, pickled chilli main; and beetroot sorbet, chocolate crumb, orange, beetroot sponge dessert. The wine menu did not disappoint and the team even arranged a brownie with birthday candles! Thank you so very much for a memorable evening. We're excited to return to try the equally enticing brunch items.
We stopped here for a quick coffee after visiting the art gallery. The coffee was excellent and whilst we didn't eat anything we'll definitely come back as the menu looked good.Staff were very friendly and the space is quirky and in keeping with the art gallery vibe.
I ordered a hot chocolate, but what I received was neither hot nor chocolatey. At a cost of $6 for what I would consider a small to medium hot chocolate, it was a rip-off. My drink arrived in a blue type jug, with a small cup. I had to pour my own hot chocolate into my own mug :-( After looking around a beautiful Art Gallery full of wonderful painting, my drink was a let-down. A normal takeaway hot chocolate small/regular would normally cost around $3.40 to $4. I DO NOT want to pay an inflated price for my drink, just to justify the cost of their table service, for example. Wish they had never renovated this place. The Art Gallery Cafe that was there before this place was excellent, as the prices were reasonable and it did not have table service.
Having the 3-2-1 promotion, i.e. 3 courses, 2 Wines and 1 price. The entree portion is quite generous. Both the squid and beef were good. The mains were both heavy as they do not have seafood in the set menu. We both ordered meat. Lastly the dessert is to die for, especially the beetroot sorbet to us is a 10/10 dessert. Extremely delicious with the balance of the beetroot and sweetness, the texture with the chocolate comb. We just want one more !Lastly, just to recommend to have this 3-2-1 at dinner. We were having all three courses and two glasses of wines for lunch - super full ! Unless you are really hungry at lunch time !
