Balthazar - Perth

We had high expectations at this restaurant. it is obviously very popular and served various, and interesting food. However, if we make an evening, which means being finer, we do not expect that we have to listen to what is totally inappropriate and loud, music for the occasion. the hire can have a casual bar suitable for a Friday night, but it is not what we expected.

What a disappointment. Balthazar has been an institution in perth for many years, so it was not a surprise when my sister here wanted her 50th birthday dinner. my vater ordered the duck (he does this for 20 years) and I agree that it must be pink, but not so raw that he could not cut it with a steak knife!!! the chef should never leave it. they did not instruct us on the meal and the waiting staff was nice, but I will not be back for one because. Not if there are so many other great restaurants in perth now.

I have to say this is the best experience we had in a very long time. eating is exceptional (they must have the degreased potatoes), service polite, knowledgeable and friendly. weinlist amazing as the cocktails.

Last night to celebrate our high-time day and loved it! dark lighting and smooth music to set the atmosphere, extensive wine list (tasting before the choice) and amazing food. the chicken and duck pottery was delicious as our main dishes of pigs bauch and duck. we also have a side of the grease potatoes (smoke for 2), but in any case do not need them. and the price was very reasonable for the standard they produced. will be back!
