Skipped main, so straight to dessert of house-made truffles and a delicious chilled glass of PX. Fabulous service and a cosy atmosphere made for a very pleasant evening.
Really beautiful breakfast food, decent coffee in a nice setting, however the attitude of some of the service staff was surprisingly poor. the staff serving us were rather impatient (clearing plates without asking if we were done and quite defensive (not seeing the sign that said no cash accepted, we asked once if we could pay by cash, the staff curtly replied no and “also it’s already written very clearly in the front of the counter” . Pretty disappointing experience given the really good ratings of this place. We hope it’s a once-off.
My wife and I came for breakfast. Rather busy. We were hungry and tried a variety of dishes, with eggs and meat and veggies. Plenty of food.
Great breakfast here, the building and atmosphere is one that we love with the old wooden floors and exposed concrete. Only downside is the habit of seating everyone right next to each other despite all the empty space.
I love Petition. I go a few times a year and every time it's a great experience great food and great service. I just went again for a birthday celebration and, although disappointingly the menu has changed from interesting fusion style to a more standard French bistro style the food that came to the table, octopus and tuna starters and the Riverina Beef sirloin main meal, were manifique!! The waiters had great personality and added to the fun and memorable experience. Thanks again Petition team.
