Staff were super nice, they were not annoyed at all when I was being indecisive, well with that many great options it's hard not to be haha. Ended up getting an apple custard Danish, finished within 30seconds and boy that buttery fragrance! It's not too sweet, just right for me. Such a little gem!
Used to live a few seconds from this joint abd it definitely a joint. I love the crossiants here as they are really rich and buttery especially the chocolate one.
Best bread I've had in Perth!!! The tarts, cakes and pies are magnificent, but they have nothing on the bread. As everyone says, it looks (and tastes) like it has been made with love, so it's definitely worth it to go there at 7 am to get the most delicious, warm bread (since as everything else, it sells out quite quickly) Don't even understand why people would go to Chu, having the Pearl of Highgate just next door. Cannot recommended enough!
I popped into this little bakery around 7.30am after buying my coffee and croissants from Chu Bakery. The owner/baker who was there is a friendly person. It is a small place. What I was most impressed with was that the display cabinet was already filled with pastries and tarts. The pictures posted don't do justice to the goods. You have to be there to see them for yourself. Each and every item in the cabinet looked like they were made with a passion. I bought a blueberry custard danish and an escargot for $3.70 each. This is a really reasonable price, I feel, for a product so well made. You don't see many places selling blueberry danishes that actually have blueberries in them, and the owner doesn't skimp on the blueberries either. I like what I ate, both items weren't too sweet which I personally prefer and they were tasty. Each had the right amount of crunchiness and chewiness. It may not have the hype that its front neighbour has but this bakery definitely deserves a visit from anyone looking for a great tasting and beautifully made bakery snack.
