Rulfs Orchard - Peru

This place was amazing! We stumbled upon it by chance after seeing signs on the highway, and we were so glad we decided to stop by. We arrived before 9 AM and had the entire place to ourselves. Our toddler enjoyed exploring the pumpkins in the greenhouse and running through the orchard. There’s a beautiful playground that caters to kids of all ages, and a small petting zoo featuring friendly sheep, horses, cows, and alpacas. The farm itself is picturesque, and we were fortunate to capture some stunning photos of the orchard with lovely autumn foliage in the background. The market area is also wonderful, with a bakery that started to get busy around 9:30; it seems to be quite popular. They offer fresh produce, homemade jams and butters, as well as charming T-shirts and gifts. This was an excellent discovery and a perfect way to kick off a lovely fall day!

We absolutely love visiting this fantastic place! Every year, we go apple picking and pumpkin hunting here. Last year, we got our beautiful Christmas tree from this location as well. We've been back several times to pick berries, pet the animals, and enjoy the playground, which has expanded since our last visit in June. They make delicious donuts and offer a great selection of food and non-food items inside if you prefer not to pick your own or are just in the mood for a sandwich or a donut. You might even want to try a pie—so yummy!

The market area is very pleasant. The apple-picking section was easily accessible, and we didn’t have to wait long to fill the bags we purchased from the stand. They accept both cash and card payments. Just a heads-up: the kitchen is closed on Sundays, so plan accordingly if you're looking for a meal. However, the baked goods are exceptional!

I went to this place today, and it is a lot of fun. The Macintosh apple trees definitely have ripe for picking apples. You also have your own choice on how big of a bag you want for apples. There's also a lot more to do than just gathering fresh apples.You can go into the amazingly cinnamon scented gift shop and bakery and just look around, you can see animals at the pettingzoo, there's also a playground with an awesome slide, and I think they also offer hayrides on certain days. Whenever it startsto cool down and autumn is around the corner, this place is definitely worth it to spend some time.

Highly recommend. What a fun little spot. They've got a well stocked store full of North Country produce and trinkets. Their food was also very tasty. I had a BLT, our toddler had a grilled cheese. Then we also enjoyed the petting zoo and playground.Thank you!
