We are both gelato fans, but all gelato is not create equal. The gelato here is truly outstanding, especially the more unconventional flavors (such as ginger, cinnamon and pear, or plain cinnamon). Worth searching out.
While waiting in line I was sprayed by their air disinfectant dispensed by an installed machine. Heinous, in light of their claims of organic. Not only was I choking for about 20 minutes, but my hair and clothes stank so badly I had to take a taxi home and change, making me late for my concert. Even after doing laundry the clothes smelled of the stuff. I have a problem with air fresheners anyway, in that they are very toxic to the environment and all life, even throwing off the navigational systems of fish. If businesses want to do something about odors on premises, they might consider a benign aromatherapy diffuser and an organic citrus oil. But PLEASE--not in areas where food is served!!! Bathrooms are one thing, but even organic citrus spray would taint a granita di cafè or chocolate sorbetto! Total disrispetto. Boycotting. Click helpful if you agree. Thanks.
Good gelato with tables front to enjoy their snacks.
OI Organ Ice Gelateria artigianale biologica is the only vegan gelateria that I encountered during my week in Umbria and Le Marche. They have about 8 types of vegan icecream: I tried lemon, cinnamon, celery ginger and carrot amaretti. They were all lovely! Vegans know where to go.
