I always enjoy their banana leaf rice, especially the deep-fried squid with plenty of squishiness and fried onions. The curry is absolutely delicious and has me salivating as I write this. The only downside at Kanna is the fried bitter gourds, which are consistently burnt and leave a bitter taste in your mouth. It's also an extra charge for them, so I would recommend skipping them. Overall, Kanna is still a reliable and consistently good place for banana leaf rice.
This restaurant is a great spot for a good meal with generous portions. The curry is delicious, but the squid is disappointing. It is coated in too much flour, leaving you with more onions than squid on your plate. The papadom can also be overly salty at times.
Whenever I'm in Kuala Lumpur, I always make sure to visit Kanna Curry House for some delicious banana leaf dining. This authentic Indian restaurant offers a variety of flavorful curries and colorful dishes that will leave you craving more. Everything is served hot and I especially enjoy the chicken, fish, and deep-fried squids. I like to finish off my meal with a glass of Hot Coffee or Teh Tarik to complement the delicious flavors. My top recommendations include the mutton varuval, crab curry, chicken kurma, deep-fried squids, and chicken fish. Be sure to visit Kanna Curry House to discover your own favorites!
I was pleasantly surprised to see that they use real banana leaves at this restaurant again. I always trust Cana for a good banana leaf meal, especially the deeply roasted tint fish which is very tasty, along with fried onions. The curry is divine and makes my taste buds sing. The only downside is the fried bitter gourds, which are consistently overcooked, leaving a bitter taste and requiring an extra cost. Overall, Cana is still a reliable and consistently good place for banana leaf rice.
