Hunter Street Tavern - Peterborough

We all had a great time and enjoyed our meals at the restaurant. We would definitely return in the future.

The restaurant was in the process of transitioning from fine dining to pub fare. We had anticipated a meal focused experience and were let down. The ambiance was delightful and the service was excellent. However, it did not meet our expectations.

Have been a few times and the food is always fantastic. Nice spot in downtown Peterborough. Will be back again for sure!!

Be prepared to wait for a long time at this restaurant. During our visit, we were the only customers there and couldn't understand why. The ambiance was nice, the menu looked appealing, and the service was excellent. It took three hours for more diners to arrive, but the restaurant still remained relatively empty. We waited an hour for our appetizer, another hour for our main course, and even longer for dessert. Despite the staff comping our dessert for the long wait, the overall wait time was unacceptable. The food was delicious once it arrived, but the owner should consider modifying the kitchen process to reduce wait times or inform customers that it is meant to be a leisurely dining experience. Unfortunately, we were not aware of this and ended up missing other plans later that evening. We don't plan on returning anytime soon.

They were in the middle of a change from the kitchen of food to pub food. we thought we were going to eat and were disappointed. the setting is beautiful and service was great. it was just not what we were looking for.
