3rd Base Sports Grille - Petersburg

Disappointing. The atmosphere is dim and the decor is strange, but that pales in comparison to the rude and inattentive staff behind the bar. On a Tuesday night, we experienced a complete lack of customer service. Upon entering, we received no greeting—no words or even a glance from the two young women who were hardly busy, aimlessly moving around the bar. They were lazily stacking dishes that had been cleaned yet still showed evidence of crust and grime, all while ignoring customers and openly arguing about who was responsible for handling the dishes. The vibe was clear: they didn't want to be there, and soon, neither did we. However, since it was the only bar open, we decided to stay and wait. After a long four-hour drive on our way to a quick camping trip, the last thing we wanted was to feel like a nuisance to some disinterested twenty-somethings who struggled to pour a beer. We waited over fifteen minutes before a server with poorly maintained fake nails glared at us from behind her messy hair and mumbled, "Y'all wanna order?" The bar was in such disarray that the menu got stuck to my leather jacket after I rested my arms on it. When I finally asked for a menu, the unprofessional staff member simply pointed to the filthy food menu, obviously failing to understand that I needed a drink menu as well. When I clarified, she rolled her eyes and handed me a smaller, equally sticky cocktail list. As we waited for the single Bud Light we had ordered, we noticed other patrons leaving, wishing the staff a good night, only to be met with indifference as the workers remained glued to their cell phones. Such disrespect and lack of hospitality—it’s hard to understand how these two individuals are employed. We often hike in this area, and this was our first attempt to enjoy the local nightlife. Unfortunately, 3rd Base was far from welcoming. Instead of feeling like we were part of the atmosphere, it felt like we were stuck in the dugout. If you're looking for a drink before or after your hike, take our advice: just skip it!

This was our first time visiting, and it certainly won't be our last. Our server was incredibly attentive and friendly. She even let us try a few different wing sauces, and I chose the "suck wind" flavor. It had a great taste and just the right amount of heat. The medium boneless wings came in a generous portion and were cooked to perfection, generously coated in sauce. The sweet tea was absolutely fantastic as well.

I went to place an order and stood at the counter, but the waitress ignored me. After almost half an hour of waiting, some other customers had to ask her if she was going to take my order. She was quite rude. I reached out to the owners but received no response. I won't be returning.

Great food and drinks. Server Hannah needs to find a job more suitable to her personality which definitely isn't customer service compatible
