It looks beautiful and retains the seaside theme, but the carpet has been removed, making the restaurant feel more open. I found that without the carpet, it’s a bit cooler in there, so you might want to bring a sweater. The menu has seen some changes, and the prices have increased slightly, but it’s still worth the cost. I had the Wels dinner, which included two fried filets, baked carrots, and green beans, along with their delicious hush puppies, of course.
The food was absolutely delicious! The Sunday Catfish Special made me want to linger after church. The coleslaw was perfectly moist, just enough to be flavorful without being messy. I would have liked at least two ears of corn, but it was still tasty without butter! The baked regular and sweet potatoes were incredibly tender. I'm looking forward to going back when I'm in the area. The staff was great and showed great respect for the elderly, which made the experience even more enjoyable. It was a truly wonderful outing!
