Jankees omelett, cookies and strawberry pancakes. everything was delicious. we were looking for a brunch restaurant that was not a chain, and found this jewel. service was excellent and the food was fantastic.

In this small cozy diner you will find warm and comfortable and the waitress who knows the regular and they feel like home. I had mushrooms, green paprika and cheese omelette with the tomats along the side buttons. delicious and filled. he had omelette with cheese with domestic fried potato with a side of the French toast. the kartoffels were slightly soft and muddy. but the French toast was on the spot and it is a bit pricy for a little diner.

We stopped by Yankees Coffee Shoppe on a road trip and we were not disappointed. The Apple pancakes were so unique. It had pie filling inside and it was AMAZING! If you are in Petersburg PLEASE visit this restaurant!!

Since my wife and I first moved down here about 15 years ago we have always enjoyed breakfast or a coffee break with the Ladies of the Yankee Cafe. Now that my wife has died I still enjoy breakfast there. It's good plain cooking and always a welcome back.
