Coffee Lodge - Petrolia

I like to come here to have a beer and sit in their lounge chairs. The place is very clean. I really like the atmosphere. Food and drinks are good.

We called in a lunch order for our business and WOW....Erin and her team were helpful from order to completion. They put together a customized tray for us, had it ready on time and were even able to add to our order last minute and get us out the door in a timely fashion. To top it all off, Erin sent one of her staff with me to walk the order back to our business to make sure that everything got there in one piece! Excellent customer service experience.

Love the caramel ice capp from here, whipped cream and caramel swirled on top, yes, please! Great service and atmosphere.

I like the ability to choose different blends of coffee and tea. The staff are always friendly and efficient. This coffee shop/restaurant is in a good location, has a good atmosphere and is nice and clean.

If you go just for coffee and a muffin or butter tart, you're missing out! The menu demonstrates a creative mix of fresh ingredients for tasty creations as well as variations of our favorite comfort foods. It's not same old, same old, which is why I like this place. Take the selection of grilled cheese sandwiches, for example. The Greek grilled cheese with feta, tomatoes, tzatziki and more is one of my standby faves in the cooler weather. The grilled brie and apple slices on ciabatta is another grilled sandwich option I have enjoyed. One of my very favorites menu items is the pita pizza, which I enjoyed again this week. It's a creative pizza original that you won't find elsewhere. The sauce in NOT tomato-based. Instead they use their own roasted red pepper salsa with olive oil as the sauce topped with fresh tomatoes, feta cheese, cheddar cheese and colored bell peppers - add chicken if you like, though I prefer the veggie version. Before digging in, enjoy the colorful display of ingredients in front of you. It's a beautiful sight! As much as I love what's on top, I also love the thin pita crust, which is not too filling, nor does it take away from the flavor of the toppings and roasted red pepper base.On the sweet side, whether you seek gluten-free or not, don't pass up the gluten-free peanut butter chocolate chunk cookie. I almost did until I talked to the staff person serving me. It is flourless - having only four ingredients - butter, sugar, eggs and chocolate! It's very sweet, rich and delicious and I couldn't eat it one sitting. I had to save it for later.Did I mention cold brew coffee? They make it in the summer and the Petrolia location cold brews only dark roast. Mostly I'm a tea drinker but I've had their cold brew coffee twice now and they do a good job. They don't yet have the the fresh made cold brew syrup at this location, but you can use regular sugar to sweeten. (I'm told other locations boil sugar in some water, then cool. When added to cold brew, there are no sugar crystals that can sink to the bottom not dissolving).The staff are mostly young, very friendly and quite knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients. They are willing to make suggestions or customize your order. The reason I know what I know about the ingredients is because I asked the servers. I have noticed that quality of a menu item can vary a little, depending on who is preparing it, so be aware.This Petrolia location is quite spacious and also has an outdoor patio, which seems to be underused. It also has liquor license if you happen to want beer.
