Good Eats Cafe - Pewaukee

We both enjoyed the delicious vegetable hash with perfectly poached eggs. I would also recommend trying their thick bacon on the side. The pumpkin pancakes were average, but the pecans were too salty for our liking. The restaurant roasts their own coffee beans, but uses a fully automatic espresso machine, which takes away from the craft experience in my opinion. Perhaps it's due to a shortage of baristas in the area, leading to the choice for consistency. The Americano and coffee were slightly bitter with an aftertaste. The service was pleasant, but the staff did not check back after delivering our food, and we had to ask for more drinks after finishing our coffees. Once we had requested more, someone did come around to offer a refill. As we left, the staff wished us a nice day. The bathroom was fairly clean with no odor, but we were surprised to see a fly strip hanging from the ceiling. The location next to a grocery store was not desirable for us, and we felt the signage could be improved. They also offer beer and liquor, but it didn't seem to fit with the atmosphere. Overall, we may consider returning for the vegetable hash, but it's not at the top of our list.

This is a great spot for dining with delicious coffee. The food deserves a rating of 5, the service a 4, and the atmosphere a 5.
