Red Lion Freehouse - Pewsey

We booked this restaurant for a 50th birthday celebration and we could not have made a better choice. We were seated in the Davenport Room, which was stunning, beautifully decorated, and well-equipped. The doors opened out to the river bank with amazing views. The dinner we had was incredible and one of the best meals we've ever had. We shared the Wiltshire Bark, which was excellent. The atmosphere was beautiful and all the wait staff were friendly and helpful. Both the starters and desserts were exceptional. The sommelier was knowledgeable about wine and cars! The specially made birthday cake was presented perfectly at the right moment. The selection of drinks after dinner was recommended by the bartender. The breakfast the next morning was also excellent. All the staff members, including Zoe, Martin, and Leo, were wonderfully helpful and knowledgeable. It was an unforgettable weekend and we would love to return again.

For dinner, we shared the bark, which was incredibly tasty, and their crispy chips were delicious. The atmosphere of the place is warm and inviting, and the staff, especially those with four paws, are very friendly. They even provided doggie bags for us to take our dogs home in. The restaurant offers a good selection of gins and the wines and champagnes available by the glass are all excellent. The breakfast options are fantastic, with a variety to choose from. The traditional cooked breakfast was top-notch, and they even served Bucks Fizz with fresh orange juice (it was my birthday, so it would have been rude not to!).
