Tony's Jamaican Food - Pflugerville

I ordered the Curry Chicken Lunch Special, and every aspect of it was delightful! It was also incredibly affordable. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the Mac n Cheese on the menu doesn’t belong alongside such a fantastic dish. It was so small for $4 that I was really disappointed. Otherwise, everything else was beautiful and flavorful!

We ended up ordering the highly recommended oxtail stew plate with rice and peas. Although I love oxtails and my partner doesn't, it was so delicious that he couldn't resist trying it and ended up loving it! We also tried the chicken patty, which was essentially a meat pie, and it was amazing. It was so good that we ordered two more—one beef and one chicken—to take with us! We've had Jamaican food in various cities, but this place is by far the best! The dishes aren't overly salty like most places; instead, they're perfectly seasoned, the meat is incredibly tender, and the pastry was divine! We plan to make this our regular spot. Absolutely incredible food! Everything was delicious, and the portion sizes were generous! All the flavors complemented each other perfectly. I tried the ruck wings, which were cooked just right with the ideal amount of sauce and seasoning. The staff were super friendly, too. I will definitely be returning!

IT! The flavors were in the Jamaican style and I could not feel more satisfied than I had a homemade meal from all over the Caribbean. Tried the Ruck Chicken and the Ochse/Gat Combo with rice and beans. Not disappointed. We will definitely have a reason to come back to Pflugerville.

I have loved this place since coming here on a whim a few years ago. The people are so friendly and helpful. Feel free to ask their recommendations. My absolute favorite dish is the oxtail. The meat is so tender and falls off the bone! The plantains that come with the meal are AMAZING. I've been once for lunch and they serve 4 lunch specials at $8 such a steal! I've only had the lunch brown stew chicken which was also so so good. Tony's is truly a hidden gem.
