Feedback gevenPossibly the best Japanese restaurant i’ve been to. The food is excellent, I recommend you the KatsuDon. The staff is smiling and helpful.
My family of 4 dined here on New Years Day evening. We all enjoyed a delicious meal a fun night ... however ... later that night/early morning I was horribly ill from food poisoning. Just typing this feedback makes me feel upset and quite frankly pretty angry. That's why it has taken me 8 weeks to provide this feedback. I haven't been able to eat sushi since. I was the only one who ate Salmon sashimi wish I hadn't! I spent about 6 hours being violently ill. Horrible vomiting then diarrhea to the point of nearly fainting. Thank goodness my husband was there to assist me. It wrecked the next 3 days of my holiday and it took me a whole week to feel normal again. I just got on with things as that's how I roll and I love Thailand, however I am sharing this experience as a warning to everyone to think twice about eating sushi or sashimi in Thailand. Also I feel it is important to let the restaurant know about my terrible experience.
5 sushi 5 staff 5 atmosphere 5 price After a diet of only thai food. The Hanabi Izakaya sushi was a lucky delicious coincidence. I’ve only ordered take out sushi, even though they provide a good selection of Japanese main courses as well. I’m no expert, but have tasted a couple of sushi’s around the world, and this is by far one of the best.
Hanabi serves great sushi and Japanese dishes. Quality is very high and there is no need to worry about freshness of the fish or similar. Especially their sashimi are outstanding and very delicious.
We had a lovely meal here, the sushi, gyoza and tempura were all really great- flavoursome, well balanced and made with high quality ingredients. This was one of our best meals in our 5 days in Khao Lak and is a real breath of fresh air in comparison to some of the other bland, dumbed down for western tastes food you can get in other restaurants in this part of Khao Lak.
