Char-broil Steakhouse - Phenix City

The food was fantastic, and the customer service was even better! This restaurant is a gem in the heart of Phenix City, and it’s refreshing to find a place that isn’t part of a chain. Highly recommended!

We visited for an impromptu birthday celebration and were impressed by the excellent accommodations. Our party size changed three times, yet the staff readily rearranged tables to accommodate us. The food was served promptly, hot, and delicious. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Although our server could have been a bit more attentive and had a few minor lapses, overall, the experience was enjoyable. We would definitely return and highly recommend this local restaurant to others.

Bad customer service is the only reason we don't return to char broil. the waitress kept asking with the pronoun 'we' as if she was our grandmother and we were 2. that should have been our first note. I specifically did not ask for any lemon in my tee, and she repeated it to me. I was served in my tee a lemon. there is no place that we could easily find on the menu that is a charge of .99 for a loaded kartoffel with our steak. in fact, we have eaten there last week and have not been charged for it. this week we were. there is a note that clearly charges the .99 for the side salad. the waitress also wrenched the order of my man wrong and he got a $15 steak instead of a $11 steak. imagine our surprise when the bill came to $20/plate instead of $10/plate, as it was last week. When I questioned the waitress, they disappeared a few minutes in the backs and told me that we had charged the extra .99 last week, but they would be good for us this week. she could still not show it to the menu and could not yet explain the $15 steak instead of the $11 steak. I called about an hour after our departure to speak to the manager (he never came to our table) and was detained for 9 minutes without music and nobody came back and reminded me. the manager when he came on the line, never apologise, only said they were very busy. he never apologized for my bad experience. He interrupted me and never let me finish what I had to say. bad guidance leads to bad customer service. I can get a good steak in any series of restaurants in this opposite. at most of them, I also get fantastic customer service.

The best steaks in the subway area! The Fired Up sauce is fantastic, and the steaks are incredibly tender!

Char-Broil has a large selection to choose from. Their food is fresh and hot. I had their special seasoned grilled chicken and it was wonderful. I definitely recommend everyone go in and try the grilled chicken and their steak is very good also. The atmosphere is great and so is the service.
