We were walking around trying to figure out where to grab a bite to eat for lunch and what grabbed our attention was the smooth melodic blowing of a saxophone musician. In all honesty the dining area is not too spectacular but the food and service make up wonderfully for the lack of aesthetics when it comes to the decor. For starters I had a pumpkin latte which was delicious. I ordered the butternut squash soup and Bpt was I pleased! It was so good. It was creamy with some corn and what looked like some type of seeds in it. The soup has a touch of spice which brought it over the top. For my lunch entree I had the steak quesadillas. They were the best quesadillas I've had. It has pieces of corn and Chile; served with green hot sauce, guacamole and crema. DELICIOUS!!! My girlfriend couldn't decide between the pumpkin pancakes and the salmon sandwich. Ultimately, she went with the salmon which she enjoyed, served with sweet potato fries. She loved it. What surprised us was when the waitress came out with a serving of the pancakes which we did not ask for but gladly accepted. Oh my lord they were amazing. Best pancakes I have eaten. As we sat there we kept seeing different plates coming out to other tables and we were surprised by the amazing smells and portions. This is definitely a hidden gem! You have to give this place a try. According to the waitress, if you want a beer or alcohol it is byob. We did not know, but next time we will!
Amazing experience meal!Wanted to try some where new and some browsing on Youtube led me to pause the video, zoom to make out the sign in the backround that read:Alma Del Mar Soul of the Sea ?The menu is a 'quick read ' and absolutely Every-Aah-thing looks phenomenal. Lobster Eggs Benedict will be depending on availability. The Crab Eggs? Benedict were served as one would expect: On a toasted english muffin with hollandaise but it rested atop avocado ? slices!! Along with cholulas on the table it sent this amazing Dish to the ? Back w/my taste buds along for the ride!!The courtyard wasn 't open due to rain cold, but the rest of the establishment was inviting and warm as the welcome I received upon entering and every so often during my meal. Just as the check arrived 6Action News Showed up to do a story HERE for Hispanic heritage Month. So in honor of those roots traditions I will attempt to close with a phrase in EspañolMucho Gusto y muchas gracias por la comida para mi Alma de MI estomacho y mi? corazone ? Es VERDAD, tienen Alma 's muy grandé Aqui á Alma del Mar
As a seafood lover and a fan of Queer Eye, I had to give this restaurant a try, even though I had ordered more than I could eat.It was my first time ever having a salmon burger, and it was fabulous! I also wanted to try the salmon ceviche since salmon has been my favorite fish since I was young. There are lots of specialty items unique to the restaurant, and I am loving that. The service is warm and welcoming since it's a family-run spot, and since they have a history of selling fish, you can totally trust them in handling the seafood and keeping it fresh. Both indoor and outdoor seating areas are available. It's a 10/10 for seafood lovers, and if you're not, they have other options as well!
This little spot was recommended to us from our air bnb host and we decided to switch our Friday night dinner reservations to try it out and we were glad we did! When we arrived they were giving a salsa lesson which was cool to see! The patio is open and airy and is dog friendly. The food was excellent- my husband got the seafood pasta, very fresh and a huge portion of shrimp and mussels… I got the chicken dish which was fantastic as well. For a starter we got the chips and guacamole which tasted super fresh as well. Customer service was great. Highly recommend!
