Fine Palate - Philadelphia

Fine palate is a large center town gemstone. it is the perfect pre- and post-show spot for any avenue of the arts venues. the food is delicious and unique (buffalo tartare someone? and the decor and the seating are comfortable, cool and eclectic. owners courtney, chef vince and the rest of the staff are all fun and friendly. they also confirm the parking space for $12 on the academy house parking space, which is a big perk! I recommend fine palate and visit them frequently!

Really special and unique experience. The food and drink choices are so well done. The bartender( can't remember his name) is outstanding,friendly and welcoming.

The restaurant was quite quiet, but the waitress was still very slow. Meals were served one or two at a time, and the food was mediocre without any side options. I wouldn't recommend spending your time or money here.

My wife, daughter, and I had a delightful brunch with my 11-year-old grandson. The atmosphere was relaxed, giving us plenty of time to chat without feeling rushed. The pace of the meal was slow and respectful, which we really appreciated. Our waiter was exceptional; he treated my grandson like a true guest, engaging him in conversation about his meal in a warm and friendly manner. I can’t wait to return, and I absolutely love the pork belly!

However, when my entree arrived, I was surprised to find a soup bowl filled with shellfish, a tiny scoop of caviar (which was only placed on the rim of the bowl), and a small piece of sea bass, the fish of the day. When the waitress checked in to see if everything was satisfactory, I mentioned that I expected something more substantial to accompany the shellfish, such as a roll, bread, a side salad, or vegetables. She said she would inform the chef. After my meal, someone brought me a soup spoon with a dollop of what they claimed was babaganoush, but it tasted more like hummus, topped with caviar. Was this an amuse-bouche? A side dish? It didn’t feel like either; just a strange combination. It didn’t satisfy me or make me want to return to this restaurant. Overall, I was not impressed.
