Grace Tavern - Philadelphia

Ate here while waiting for a friend. Friendly and attentive staff. Good beer selection. I liked their Frito chili burger.

Only the vibe I was looking for a casual drink with friends. the service was great and the prices were very reasonable. quizzo went on when we arrived and although they were a little challenging, it was a lot of fun. I had two glasses of a local pilger and a Greek burger. my burger was far overcooked and a little dry, but the sandwiches my friends had were very good (tuna steak and grilled cheese)

Long standing neighborhood tavern with knowledgable staff, decent varied beer selection, and delicious pub fare. Cozy wood bar and wall treatments throughout. Limited bar seating is flanked by high top tables leading to a small sit down dining area. Great place to stop at if youre in the area for lunch or even seek out specifically.

We enjoyed the food, chicken fingers, fries, wings. Unfortunately, the customer service was a bit stand-off ish. The waitress was very matter of factly, unfriendly, often cut us off when asking, quickly answered and/or said no before we could finish our order or question, and mostly frowned, no smile. At one point we had to ask someone else for something, because she seemed unapproachable. I would like to say it was just a one-off, but it wasn't. We were in there 3 times because we like the pub food and we were staying close-by, and she took care of us twice, with the same result. The gentleman who took care of us the third time was very pleasant and friendly however.

Great food, great rotation of beers, great neighborhood spot.
