My friend got the fried chicken sandwich which looked amazing too. We both got some of their mocktails which were delicious and served in cute little glasses. The ambiance and vibes in the restaurant were super cute. There was a cute spiral staircase and plenty of seating. They also had some outdoor seating that was separated so great for social distancing. We sat inside but the windows were open and were great for aeration. Service was also attentive and great! The only negative thing was the coffee. It tasted fine but I had lots of grinds in my mug. Not a huge deal though, I just wouldn't order it again
My partner and I visited Harper's Garden for a romantic evening out. The restaurant has lovely interior decorations. I was thrilled by their "Merican burger, which was one of the best burgers I have ever tasted! However, the chicken dish we tried was dry and forgettable. They offer a nice selection of wines as well. We shared a bottle of Rose, which was excellent. Our server was attentive and courteous throughout our meal.
I visited this restaurant for a quick bite and drinks while in Philadelphia. The restaurant was busy with brunch customers, but I was able to find a seat at the bar. The bartender greeted me promptly and took our drink orders. We ordered cocktails and the Murray's NYC Cheese Board with 5 cheeses. The bartender quickly made our drinks and brought them to us, followed by the Cheese Board a few minutes later. The bartender explained each cheese and its history, and the board also included almonds, fresh fruit, fruit preserves, and mustard. The cheeses were a nice variety of textures. While I had my favorites, all were enjoyable. The drinks complemented the Cheese Board well. The service was quick and friendly, making it a great place for brunch and drinks. I tried the Cheese Board this time, but will be back to sample the other tempting brunch dishes.
The outdoor seating at this restaurant is lovely with a great atmosphere. The food was decent, I opted for the smoked salmon eggs Benedict with potato hash, a peach cocktail (cannot remember the name of the drink), and the house special of homemade buttermilk biscuits with homemade butter and spiced jam. Surprisingly, the biscuits were my favorite part of the meal! The neon green colored butter was surprisingly tasty and I even used it on my potato hash for added flavor. Unfortunately, my friends did not enjoy their French toast due to some unexpected spices. The service was a bit lacking, likely due to how busy it was, and I personally thought the prices were too high for basic brunch dishes.
This place seems like a very popular brunch spot, people have been waiting outside for a while just to get a table while it?s most empty inside, maybe due to shortage of staff? I just wanted to grab a drink with my friend so we just found ourselves a seat by the bar and skipped the line. The have a ?signature drink menu? but I think that was it, you couldn?t order any other cocktails that was not on the menu, and there were about 8 to choose from(not a whole lot) if I remember correctly. And I ordered some oysters to go alone with my drink, the oysters were kinda soaked in water and the sauce wasn?t very good, still edible though. So I would have to say the food quality was meh, but the place was cute and the staff was pleasant to deal with.
