Jasmine Rice Old City - Philadelphia

My friends and I went here for dinner yesterday. I do not usually eat Thai food, but I was surprised how good food were! Especially calamari. I give only 4 stars for slow service. I think, they need to train their staff better or hire better servers. Again food is delicious and I will come back and would recommend.

Had a very nice, quiet dinner here recently. My wife had pad thai with beef and I had massaman curry with chicken. Both were excellent. The service was very good as well. My only criticism is that we sat at a very small table next to the entrance. It was a little intrusive, with other guests coming and going, but not totally bothersome. I do recommend this place and I'll return there to eat some day.

When my fiancée and I walked in, we were surprised to find the restaurant completely empty, with no hostess in sight. We stood there for a moment before deciding to say hello a bit louder, as our earlier attempts had gone unnoticed! Once that hiccup was over, the service was quick and excellent. Our food arrived promptly, and we were out the door in just 20 minutes. We ordered Chicken Pad Thai and spring rolls, and I really enjoyed the meal, especially the spring rolls! The restaurant also features lovely decor and presentation. While I'm not certain I would return since I'm from NYC, I would definitely recommend this place.

I had an incredible experience at Jasmine Rice in Old City. The restaurant features a beautiful ambiance with elegant decor and a modern, open feel. The menu offers a fantastic variety of dishes, making it difficult to choose just one. The Pinot Noir was delightful, and the shrimp spring rolls were outstanding. The pad see yew was the best I've ever tasted, with perfectly cooked Chinese broccoli, tender noodles, and a sauce that was light, balanced, and exquisite—without being greasy or oily. This meal was truly unforgettable. Overall, my experience was exceptional and well worth it. I highly recommend this restaurant!

The waiter and chef were both very friendly and welcoming. The chicken satay was delicious! I would definitely return.
