I recommend this shop, especially when they are a bicycle beginner like me!
Hands down a great spot for cyclists, snacks, pastries, coffee, and a bit of extras. Also a great spot to get ur bike worked on with the help of Henry and Andrew. What is best about this shop is the community as well as friendship these guys always bring to the table. Baristas and works are friendly, prices are fair, and parts and and apparel are available on the wall. My first review was taken down so I wanted re-review it again. Thanks to izzy working hard to keep the shop top notch.
No complaints. I have had positive experiences getting my bike fixed ordering coffee/smoothies. I wish every bike shop functioned as a hybrid cafe! Great customer service a neighborhood staple.
Excellent service, so happy I moved closer to the shop. It's a breath of fresh air knowing I have Kayuh Bicycles less then a mile from me and the owner Henry is a real great guy.
I really wanted to love this shop. Seeing all these good reviews and I live only 2 blocks away. But I left feeling that I got a bunch of repairs I don't need. I came in to replace bottom bracket. They inspected my bike, specialized syrrus, and found $300 worth of repairs to do. They said chain is stretched out, so they needed to replace it, plus entire crank assembly, plus entire cassette (because teeth are worn out). I agreed without much thought, feeling guilty about never having done much maintenance since I bought the bike 2 years before. I only recently started biking regularly. I am a total bike novice and don't hide it. When I got the bike back, the chain started skipping regularly. I took it back and they fixed the issue without charge. But that got me thinking WHY did I just spend $300 on a banged up 2 year old bike, that only costs $750 new, for a problem I didn't have an issue with? Maybe it would have broken soon, but maybe I would have ridden it for another two years, or bike got stolen or wrecked. At least the experience motivated me to learn how to repair bikes myself. Maybe that's the business model of these types of bike shops, doing repairs for newbs who have not figured out the cost benefit analysis. Anyway, really wanted to love the shop, but now can't shake the feeling of having been duped.
