Player's Sports - Philadelphia

There was one woman handling everything—bartending, serving, and greeting guests. She managed it all, but it was overwhelming and quite ridiculous for a hotel restaurant. They definitely need to hire more staff!

Mizzem Hussain is an exceptional bartender and truly knows how to provide outstanding service. I can honestly say that the level of service I received was world-class. I ordered one drink, and even six hours later, despite the busy atmosphere, he remembered my order and had another drink ready for me. This is what exemplary customer service looks like. He deserves a management position because the other staff could use some strong leadership and guidance.

However, I did notice that the food took a bit longer to arrive, and there were only two servers working hard to manage all the tables, which made them appear a bit overwhelmed. While the service was good, it was clear they were stretched thin. Additionally, I think the decor could use some improvement. The space feels more like a large ballroom filled with tables and chairs adorned with a few pictures, leaving me wondering if it’s a sports bar, a restaurant, or just an open area serving food. Despite these points, I truly enjoyed my visit and would definitely go back. I highly recommend it!

Overall decent place, typical sports bar. Kind of a small menu and a bit pricey but good food. I personally had excellent service but based on both the yelp reviews I read before going here and overhearing some other customers I know this is not the case for everyone. I stayed at the hotel, and didn’t want to take the time to uber into town and eat outside of the hotel so I decided to eat here, despite many unfavorable Yelp reviews. I went when it was fairly busy on a weeknight, and at first sat at a table and waited a bit unnoticed before sitting at the bar. The bartender was PHENOMENAL, immediately getting everyone’s orders at the bar, plus those seated in the dining area, and making it look easy. I received the food I ordered in a reasonable amount of time, although I heard some other customers saying that they’d been waiting 45 minutes for their food. I got the avocado BLT with fries and it was good, average price and portion size. Some items on the menu were pretty pricey but there were cheaper/more average priced options. I would probably only go here again if I was staying at the hotel, but overall I had a good experience. Again, the bartender was amazing and I give her 10/10 for her service.
