Thirsty Dice - Philadelphia

I recently visited a charming board game cafe that has a vast collection of board games to enjoy with friends. During my visit, I ordered a hazelnut coffee and a bang bang ban mi while playing board games with my friends. The hazelnut coffee was delightful, with a sweet and aromatic flavor that caught the attention of everyone around me. Although I expected the sandwich to be spicy, it turned out to be rather bland. However, it was still a good and healthy option. Overall, this cafe offers a fantastic atmosphere for playing games with friends.

The highlight of Thirsty Dice is the wide selection of games available. They offer a range of cooperative and competitive board games to suit all tastes, with staff on hand to assist in choosing and explaining how to play. However, the food and service left something to be desired. While the menu featured many enticing dishes, most lacked flavor. The chicken was underseasoned, the waffles were passable but we had to request syrup, the cinnamon roll was dry, and the eggs were unremarkable. The "best brunch ever" package is a good value for the mimosas and access to the game library, but falls short in terms of food quality.

I arrived at this restaurant at 9:45 PM and was told at the front counter that they were fully booked and I needed a reservation to be seated. I quickly made a reservation for 10 PM on my phone and showed it to the staff. Eventually, we were seated and our waitress was very friendly, although I don't remember her name. We ordered drinks and my friend enjoyed the Parmesan fries. Despite being informed that last call was at 10:30, we ordered ice cream and I got chicken nachos. Unfortunately, my nachos were forgotten and only remembered when I inquired about them. The waitress was apologetic and comped our ice creams for the mistake. Despite the good service, the lack of air conditioning made the experience uncomfortable on a hot and humid night. The staff mentioned that the AC was supposed to be fixed, but it was still uncomfortably warm inside. Additionally, the staff, including the waitstaff, were not allowed to wear shorts, which seemed unreasonable given the lack of AC. Overall, the restaurant had a cool concept but the lack of air conditioning and oversight on orders detracted from the experience.

My wife and I had a fantastic time at Thirsty Dice. Fantastic atmosphere and the staff were amazing. Especially impressed with the knowledge the staff have of the games. They were quick to help in assisting us with games that we weren?t familiar with andhad some great suggestions for games to try during our visit. The drinks were awesome! The food was good as well. Thechicken nachos were our favorite. We will definitely be back!

Had an amazing time playing some retro games. Food was good, was glad for the vegan options. Great setting for friends and family to meet up and have a fun night.
