Feedback gevenThe new all-digital experience is terrible. The employees tell us it’s because of infection prevention purposes. Everyone in Philly knows it’s because of theft. I don’t have all the answers but I know this is not it. This idea is terrible, I will go out of my way to another Wawa or just go to the 7/11 100 feet away. What a let down from a life long Philly resident.
It 's a very busy location between Penn and Drexel students. Or just others who live around it. They recently changed it to no more self service at all. You wait for employees to give you everything. Waiting here for a sandwich or drink was already a very long wait. Now, it 's forever. You will not leave within 15 minutes of entering the store. Food is the same. It 's packed and looks terrible with all the white walls blocking a good portion of the store. Given how it was changed you 'd think they would have more employees around. It 's unclear if they have more per shift but they are swamped with work. Trying to get someone just to ask a question such as can I get my one pretzel? I 've been waiting for 15 minutes like I just did. I was told there are none. Thankfully someone who looked like a manager over heard it and offering stuffed pretzels. She was good but the layout and everything changed or unchanged shows how out of touch whoever decided them really is.
I made an order online and went to pick it up. A mean staff accused me that I already got it, and I was trying to get the same order a second time. I felt offended and asked the staff to check the store's video camera. Another member of staff checked it and said I hadn't gotten the order before. But the mean one still insisted I got it before, refused to apologize, and called security to ask me to leave. They even threatened me to call the cops. Such a bad experience.
The absolute worst wawa in the world… what do you mean i can’t go back and browse??? if they make all wawas like this they’ve lost a lifelong customer. i had a free fountain drink reward bc i have been a loyal customer and they told me i can’t use it there because of the new setup. i’m boycotting wawa until they get rid of this new layout. such a terrible idea to treat customers like criminals.
It was a pretty decent Wawa. I haven't visited since they took out the shelves, though.
