This place has so many interesting and different flavors not seen in many other places. It was hard to choose, but I went with the Cumin Flavor Beef. It was a tad spicy with a combination of spices and chili peppers in the perfect combination. The meat was not fatty at all and each bite was tender with fresh veggies to enjoy. The lunch special also came with wonton soup that was better than your average version. I will try some more items on the menu next time in the area.
Dined here on Chinese New Year Eve. The place was almost empty, so got full attention of the owner who was very friendly. Place was clean. We got chicken noodle soup which was authentic. It was okay. Dumpling in chilli oil was fantastic so was the scallion cake. Inflation induced pricing will bite you. Overal good experience.Food: 4/5
Me and my wife had lunch this Sunday in Xi'an Sizzling. We ordered too much and decided to make one of dishes a take-out order. We had question about the take-out order and the waitress didn't explain but told us it can't be wrong since the owner is from Xi'an. No problem, we didn't pursuit. Later, I hear the waitress start talking about us with one of the customers before we walk out the door. Food is ok but the behavior of the waitress is not acceptable.
Dropped in for quick lunch on my way to PennDot. Out of fondness of the Upenn joint of the same name, Xi’an Sizzling Woks. Got my staple appetizer Man and Wife Brisket and Tripe in spicy dressing. Yum. As good as anywhere. Instead of tea, I was oddly in the mood for bubble tea. The whole combo came to $21.01 before tip. Gosh, inflation bites.
