Feedback gevenIt was a beautiful place with french chief and a very friendly staff. It is now too late, it is closed.
We recently stopped by to view Lake Champlain from the restaurant deck, only to find this restaurant closed. We were informed had been so for about a year due to declining patronage. This was easily predictable from my earlier 2 reviews of declining & spotty service, variable food, & increasingly high prices, especially the wine at $42 /liter for table wine that was almost unpleasant. We are aware that the owner simultaneously had another restaurant across the Lake at Venice-en-Quebec, & stopped by there to check the prices which were equally high, thus did not enter fearing continued poor or spotty customer treatment (re: food, service, & pricing). How regrettable since the lake view form both places is good & the chef Jerome when he was on was excellent. The owner was made aware a number of times of the good points/failings, & her response was significantly less than customer sensitive.
The only restaurant in the area. The waitresses were very polite, our dishes were to our taste and the prices reasonable
This charming bistro serves delicious food, including bottomless mussels and a range of Portuguese dishes. The service is attentive, and the terrace is comfortable with stunning sunset views from the dock.
The restaurant is right on Lake Champlain, which is beautiful. The food is a bit pricey but the quality is good. The service staff was very helpful and attentive, which we were especially grateful for since we didn't speak a word of french. The menus and everything are in french, so it is very authentic, and the atmosphere was fun and relaxing with that french flare.
