Chef J Asian Kitchen Phoenix

Chef J's has become our go-to for Asian take-out. The prices are a little higher than other places we've tried, but it's worth it! Two entrees are plenty for our family of 4 to share, but the cheese puffs, pork buns and meat buns are too good to pass up. Luckily, everything reheats really well!

I had been to the other Chef J location awhile back and remembered that it had a decent lunch special, so I figured this would be about the same quality wise. Ordered takeout since this was newer to the area. We tried the orange chicken and the walnut shrimp. The portion size was okay, but unfortunately I wasn't a fan of either dish. The orange chicken was very basic and had more breading than chicken. The walnut shrimp was slightly better but still didn't have much flavor and was a smaller portion size than the chicken. It didn't seem on par with what I remembered having at the other location in the past. For the price point and quality, I would go elsewhere in the surrounding area.

Wowsies! I had a deep craving for sauce, noodles, and anything Asian.... I'm so glad I ordered from Chef J. I ordered thru Grubhub. The food arrived still warm, with the right order of everything I needed for the night. The flavor was on absolute point.The sauce and everything felt very original. Right concistency and amount of meat. But I was amazed by how good the eggroll and soup buns were. Soooo delicious. I want to order again tomorrow. I really recommend this spot. A star off for ancouple of things. The price for dumplings and bunas is high. Almost $11 dollars before taxes. Also the LoMein didn't have any veggies. I was missing the usual flat carrots that come with it or a little bit of cabbage or something would have been nice. And I was looking for the chopsticks... Having Lo Mein I would have expected a pair. But then again, I am not super bothered. I appreciated the extra sauce and everything else that made me happy

Tried coming in twice today ; and was closed both times and no one answers phone . Super excited to try the chili wontons bummed nobody's answering
