El Quiché Pupusas 2 - Phoenix

This place makes a really great burrito. There is a language barrier if you can't speak Spanish, but as long as you can pronounce the menu items, and say how many of each item such as uno or dos you will be fine. You can eat there, but the atmosphere isn't all that great. It's much better for takeout.

Chorizo Street Tacos. So delicious. El Pastor and steak equally good. The salsa rojo is outstanding.

The pupusas are incredibly delicious, but unfortunately, the rest of the food didn't quite hit the mark for me. I suppose it's my fault for ordering tacos at a restaurant known for its pupusas. I tried the al pastor tacos and the carne asada, but I wasn’t a fan of either. On the positive side, the service was excellent. The server was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere in the restaurant is pleasant and peaceful, so if you appreciate that kind of setting, you’ll enjoy it here.

This cozy little cafe is a hidden gem. The papusas and tacos are absolutely fantastic. I can't wait to try something different on my next visit!
