I walked away and waited with my group. Eventually, we got the room, but the service was disappointing, especially considering how much we were spending. The server took our drink orders, but we waited an unusually long time for them to arrive. During that time, no one came back to take our appetizer orders. We finally got our appetizers, but the server rushed off again. It wasn't until two hours later that the server shared the daily specials and took our meal orders. Overall, it was quite disappointing, especially since we had hyped this place up for our guests. To give you an idea of the experience, we made our reservation for 7:30 p.m., and by the time we settled the bill, it was 11:30 p.m. This was far below what we’ve come to expect. It feels like they’ve become complacent with their service. We might give it another shot eventually, but it will be a while before we return. I hope they can address whatever issues are causing these problems, as it shouldn't reflect on their service, but unfortunately, it does.
Absolutely fantastic restaurant! It’s our go-to place for special occasions. We really enjoy the steaks here. We usually order a tomahawk along with onion rings and a pepper potato. The service is excellent, and the food is served hot and quickly.
I went for brunch and found the upstairs restaurant, Richardson's, to be quite busy, while only two tables were occupied downstairs at the Rokerij. Our order was taken right away, but after waiting for 30 minutes, I flagged down the waiter to ask about our breakfast. He acknowledged my concern, but after 40 minutes with no food, we decided to leave. It seemed like the staff prioritized the customers at Richardson's over us. What a disappointment! I won't be returning.
Went there last night with a party of 6 for a birthday dinner. Service was average for the number of people working and the size of the place. Cocktails were all good but a little slow to come out. The starter salad was drenched in salad dressing, almost not even edible but the salad ingredients were great. Several of the entrees were a little over cooked but not enough to send back and wait even longer. When presented with the bill it was completely wrong and had food that we didn't order on it and had to wait for it to be corrected. Server was friendly. All in all, the food is overpriced and was over cooked. Each of us had two drinks or wine and one appetizer for the table and at an average of $90 pp which included tip. As much as I wanted to like it, we likely won't go back.
Such a cool vibe! It can be 110° outside but when you go to the basement area and the fireplace is on, you feel like you need a sweater. Even if the sweater is just to absorb the wine stains from spilling on your own lap. Happy hour is the best because the prices are not inexpensive but the food is amazing. I believe these are the same owners as the upstairs bar, Richardson's, and Dick's Hideaway, down the street. The food is fantastic but I really like the vibe at this place the best. If you are new to the area and want a unique experience try it out. If you have lived here a long time and haven't tried it yet, what are you waiting for?
